Blank slate. Tabula rasa. But to clean, expunge, obliterate till when? Until where? How? Nicely? Hastily? Without regrets? And the slate then? Why don’t we also paint blank and clean out walls too? Shall we obliterate around us or within us? What is the point of new pages and tomorrows and promises? What is left once we’ve erased all that should disappear? And what has gone, where is it stored? Can we really throw something? Or doesn’t everything come back?
Blank slate, tabula rasa, call it a process, a game or a mad fabulation. It’s as you wish. This is the topic, that you can take, leave, ruthlessly throw out of anger, or steal by burying it in your pockets.
